Blanche neige est un film d’animation sorti en 1937 et est le premier long-métrage à succès des Studios Disney.
La Reine-sorcière est la seconde épouse du roi et la belle-mère de Blanche-Neige.
En effet, la précédente reine et mère de Blanche-Neige est morte en couches. Elle est obsédée par son envie d’être la plus belle du Royaume.
Mais selon le Miroir Magique, Blanche-Neige est la jeune fille « la plus belle de toutes ».
La Reine ordonne donc la capture de sa belle-fille et souhaite avoir son cœur dans une boîte.
Blanche-Neige est une jeune princesse innocente qui ne voit pas le mal dans le monde et en conséquence vulnérable face à sa marâtre qui est jalouse de sa beauté.
Elle est caractérisée par sa pureté envers ses amis, les animaux de la forêt. Elle se réfugie dans une petite maison où vivent les Sept Nains qui vont la protéger.
Un jour, la méchante Reine décide de prendre la mort de la princesse en main : elle se transforme en vieille sorcière et propose à Blanche-Neige une belle pomme rouge empoisonnée.
En un croc, Blanche-Neige tombe dans un sommeil sans fin qui ne pourra être inversé que par le baiser d’un prince.
La vieille sorcière fera une chute du haut d’une montagne.
